Don't’ make your watch with an aftermarket dial or bezel as it will not be accepted for RVC for servicing even though you have the original proper warranty card.

 

A proper Rolex Service Slip is in fact the warranty identify on authentication as Rolex will not service any  Fake or Frankenwatch.

 

Send your watch for simple watch repair such as change of Crystal or cleaning say.. they will replace for you the crystal and check the time after cleaning, this is likely minimum service charge you have to pay for your Rolex which you bought from used hand market for Rolex Authentication.

 

Don't blame your new Rolex for not running as in the manual, you have to manual winding up for minimum 20 times when the watch is about to be used for the first time, or to be used after left for weeks.

 

Rolex Warranty does not cover casing, bracelet, Crystal scratches and damages.

Don't send your watch to Rolex Service Centre with post-dated Warranty card.

The Warranty will be immediately provoked and the Rolex Shop dealership will be questioned by Rolex.

Proper Way to tighten up your crown is to press the crown again the watch and rotate it anticlockwise a bit before you rotate it Clockwise to tighten up. It will reduce the wearing of the screw threads of both the tube and the crown.

Remember to tighten up the crown when you go for Swimming or diving or your Deep Sea is in Deep Shit!

But now we can see the difference, the same watch Submariner in excellent condition can reach $500,000  or more the constellation in 18KT gold is only $45,000 now.

Life can be of great fun, only if how you look at it.

Many people have a lot of money, but somehow they are the keeper of their money only.

Somehow richer people tends to be very stingy to themselves and to other people.

There is a senior sales Director who entertained his customer with one third of a piece of Australian Abalone.

Well, he order a Abalone (HK$280) and shared with three persons including his customer.

On the other hand the other German business unit group of 15 peoples had arranged a sales meeting in Phuket Resort for three days.  (Estimated HKD$600,000)

I think it may need sales director tedious effort to save up 2,142 abalone…. to settle the bill at Phuket.

I had another senior VP who has 4 Million annual income, he had no kid at all and he wears a HKD$80 watch he bought at Sham Shui Po, he uses it all the time.

I had another senior VP who is a Jew, he drives BMW with manual gear in San Jose . He told me that saved a lot of fuel. I was wondering how come he still could find a BMW with manual gear nowadays!

Is that money so much important with the trade off city driving comfort. Do we need to go to such an extent to save money, for who!? If everyone does not spend money, the World economic will be dead!

I had a Vice chairman who had completed a 4 hours exhausting Hiking at Sui Long Wo in Summer, after that he told bus to go home… While I took taxi home!

Well, He earns HKD$6,000 an hour! 
 

The above are all true episode I had experienced in the company.

Man, when you are still young, enjoy, when you can drink, drink, when you can eat, eat... We only live once!

1. What is the difference between Authorized dealer watch and gray Dealer Watch?

Watch itself is same, both are genuine in full set.
Difference is what you buy at AD (Authorized Dealer) are able to accept your credit card which is more convenient.

Gray dealer watch are imported from overseas, usually you can get a bigger discount as they have no shop, minimum running cost and margin is lower, so your benefit is much higher if you buy from Gray dealer. There are many reliable gray dealers in Hong Kong.


2. New watch is usually more available to get from gray dealer, as gray dealer travel actively to search for those hot items.


3.  if you buy gold watch, you tend to get higher discount buying from gray dealer. Those sport hot models are usually having very competitive price.


4. When you buy Rolex , AP in HK using card, you might be wiser to select your local currency rather than HK Dollar as may be lower as it does not need to lose by conversion of HK Dollar to US dollar. Voice out to the sales manager before your card is passed to him.


5. No one will sell Fake watch at AD, gray dealers as it is a serious offend to sell Fake watch in HK.

Those who used to sell in Sai Yeung Choi Street or temple street is different as they are known to sell only counterfeits.


6. Rolex will take care of watches you buy locally from AD or from gray dealer, or watches you buy from overseas, so long it is authentic Rolex.

7. It does not matter to me if the used Rolex is having no paper no box, so long there is a repair slip issued at Rolex Service Centre as if the watch is fake or authentic Franken watch, Rolex Service Centre will NOT service them.

8. I was borne in HK and I am a HKer, the reason why I carry a Philippine number as I used to work in Philippines.
