A house like Mei Fu Shun Chuen, that was about $30,000 in 1968 and about $250,000 in 1980 and now is $9,880,000 per unit.

1980 to 20156 appreciatioon factor is about 40 times.

Whereas if you bought that Rolex Daytona Steel Ref15620 in 1980, your cost was HK$3,725.

If you don't use it, keep all Full Set until now, Minimum you can sell as good as HK$98,000 (selling price of Such new Ref 116520 Daytona in Rolex AD) your minimum profit gain is $94,275.

Appreciation factor is 98000/3725=26.3 times.

But who know if you put it in Auction, since it is still mint condition, you may go for an Auction of $200,000 (my rough estimation), that is a higher gain factor (53) than Mei Foo Sun Chuen !!

I have found a Rolex HK Price Book dated 1 July 1999, while I compare the major model with the current price book as of Today, I found that GMT Master II seems to be the most promising watch if you are taking it as an investment.

A panicked armed robber gunned down 收藏家 shop assistant age 57 in a HK$5.5 million heist of nine Patek Phillipe watches at Tsim Sha Tsui.

Aftermath,

I am thinking that we might consider some precautions:-

1.    Not selling watch to one who wears N95 Mask, or ask him to come back again after he recovers from Avian Flu!

2.    Don't think that all Mandarin Chinese speaker must be Big Spenders. They may be "新省港旗兵"

3.    Be alert that someone is coming to buy more than one piece of Patek Philippe at one shot.  Buy one by one, ask his credit card first! That would immediate verify his real Identity!

4.    Any better way to prevent such thing happened again?

Kansai Airport Rolex AD

I just reached the Rolex AD just right after immigration at Kansai Airport,
again i saw only three Daytona Two Tone plus one YM II TT pink gold!

No other Rolex hot model at all.

So as i can see, don't know if that is a standard practice to hide the hot model or reserved for VIP.

Three Rolex AD, Isetan, Daimaru and Airport AD, NO
Submariner, Explorer II, GMT Master II, steel Daytona.

My question is, "Where Are they?"
