I like drawing, making illustrations and calligraphy when I was young,  and always appreciate people with such talent, I met one at the Roger Dubuis Event on 6^th June, That is Simon Leung.

Simon Leung who is artist focusing on Caricature. In the past day, Caricature art mixes Humor, design  and Artistic Expression by uncovering one's underlying personality through the exaggeration of their unique individual features with likeness.  It is NOT the drawing of only the enlarged head, little body reduced Q-doll cartoons or comic. There he should possess the kind of experience in reading faces, expression and taste of life in terms of bitter, sour, success and failure.

In order to learn the decent caricature drawing, Simon went Japan and graduated from 'Caricature Japan Professional Training School' of Caricature Japan in 2010 and learned a lot from Mr. Kage in Asakusa  who is the world class well known master Caricature Artist. In the meantime, he is promoting his professional caricature service to let customers, public and young generation understanding the true Meaning and Culture of Caricature.

Simon is also fellow member of ISCA International Society of Caricature Artists since 2005.

Every year he attends the Annual Convention to learn new skill and technology in US.

In Short I can say he is one of the best artists on Caricature….in HK.

Watch Fever Gathering at a Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui

Today's Watch Gathering was taken place in Coffee Shop of a Hotel in TST.

We have Rolex, PP, Credor, Bvglari, many of our freiends came and share some of the Watch Experince in Rolex Service Centre.

Ben has exppressed a good insight on how Rolex tried to sell the last batches of old stock Turn-O-Graph by issuing a special Japanese version of a different Colour of Second Hand.:- Green!

That triggers me that Deep Sea Ref 116660 is likely using the similar gimmick of D-Blue dial to all the remaining DeepSea!?

So there will be another new facelifted DeepSea or launching of new model in 2016. Let's watch out.

Is the rumour of Discontinuing a myth!?!

I had a time to take an annual leave to day to studyt the Rolex market of HK.

I walked through at least 10 Rolex AD shops along Nathan Road, there is no single piece of such watch in these shops:- Oriental, Chow Seng Seng, Chow Tai Fook, Wah Hing, Dickson…Suisse Watch Company...

Well, my first one I bought at Dickson in September 2014 was HK$85,965 (less 5%) no booklet.

The last one I sold to friend in Philippines by hand carry was HK$91,000 Cash with Booklet in May.

Now the price is up to HK$98,000 as of today as our cost buying them is very high! Of course our watch comes with the special booklet.

I am speculating that the watch will go up to HK$99,000 next month.

This is a record high for Rolex steel watch even higher than Daytona Black which we can buy at about HK$90,000 and White with HK$85,000 from Parallel importer.

Could not imagine such a Deep Sea Diver's watch could reach such a price even under low economic situation on Europe and HK, as they are being supplied from Rolex in small number.

For those who have bought it, it is your decision to use it or keep it…?

Honesty, I don't have the luxury to live twice, we need to capture the opportunity to make a bold decision to make your dream come true. The dream of a James bond Watch; a basically indestructible Rolex!

For friends who know me, in HK, I have sold three of my Rolexes** that I spent $222,000  in five years ago and I sold to collector at $281,000

That is a profit of 27%.

Well, we cannot say this is not bad trade, either I cannot say this is very good as comparing with some of the Vintage Patek Philippe. But my investment is small while my growth is 2 digits in just  4 to 5 years.

I have been using these watches every day, that is one of the beauty of the Rolex. You keep on using it and it is getting aged day by day, but still it can create extra value by time I sold it. Is that Awesome!?

So what is the best items that we can be made as my next dream, here is my personal opinion.

Ref 116660 Deepsea D-Blue

Super Rare and seems it is harder to get, it may be matching my earlier saying that it is the plot of Rolex to select this watch as the star of the sky!

AD MRSP $90,500

It was sold at open market at HK$89,000 Sept 2014.

In march $91,000, May $92,000 to 93,000

Now it is about to leap into ranges of $93,000 to 94,500

So it is time to get one, I would like to say yes, as there is rumour that this model will be discontinued soon.

So what is the lowest price we can get it, it is About $93,000 now.

Ref 116610LV Submariner Green Bezel and green Dial, simply I like this for the first full green color made for Submariner.

MRSP $68,100.  A reasonable price is $65,000 to $66,000

Ref 16610LV Submariner Anniversary Green Bezel, black dial Flat 4, this is the earliest release 2009, full set NOS. I believe the price will soar high in coming years.

Current Price is about $75,000- $80,000. Note that this was selling about $40,500  in 2009.

Ref 116710BLNR GMT MASTER II Batman, MSRP $67,300, a new one is about $64000 to 65,500

The above models are difficult to be found at AD, the price here is the gray dealer import price in HKD.

Do you think Daytona Black is more preferred for People of Hong Kong?

Generally, yes, that is true, but as far as a user, everyone says White is preferred as it can tell time easier whereas Black dial looks confusing.
