This year found me battling yet another bout of watch fever and of the most severe kind, the Panda strain. By the very eve of Chinese New Year I was asking Paul's help to secure me one of these highly rare and endangered species. A few days later there was a chanced spotting but that one got away. A week passed by and I suddenly got an impromptu HK trip and informed Paul I'll be in town the following week. 3 days before my flight he was able to spot and this time entrapped the illusive white creature for me and best yet of the 888 HK AD clan as I asked for specifically!
I landed into HK late afternoon and was greeted by 11°C chilly wind and drizzle. Was so in a hurry and assumed Hk is steamy hot as it is in the Phil this time of the year that I didn't pack a single warm clothing(of coz). Was in TST a full hour early shivering killing time. Paul texted he is near and just minutes away. I was so giddy I swore I smell essence of Panda in the midst. Its either that or just the effect of my balls freezing.
Finally I saw Paul around the corner and we settled into this specialized fish noodle place for dinner. When the Panda was brought out onto the table......warmth just enveloped the room. It was suddenly not cold.
