Btw, the watch winder I brought that day. I found is not suitable for ETA engine. My watch will die off after 24hrs inside the case.
My suspect is not due to watch winder, but is ETA engine itself. The rotor at the back of watch seem not rotate smoothly, something it just jamming. So the winder is to soft to keep it winder smoothly. I check my friend's Oris automatic watch, ETA engine's too. It also not smooth rotate. What about Rolax?
Is just sharing, I'm never regret owning this beautiful winder.
Hi Bok Sim, I did not have this experience at all, As ETA is the world largest OEM for Watch Calibre and That should work perfectly.
My question is : what do you mean die in the Watch winder after 24 hours, you meant the watch stoppede moving while it is still insider the watch winder?
Well, If that is so, the watch as a problem, you know the beauty of using the watch winder is that it provide a good enought torque to move the rotor and yet not too strong to jerk the watch as you can see that there are bearing in the rotor and if it created a jet that is too hard will hamper the life time of the bearing...
Unless there is no bearing at teh centre of the rotor that it may have problem for the winder to energize the rotor to move...
For my Rolex, Patek Philippe, AP, Cartier, there was no such expericed using the Winder at all.
So I will suggest you check with the watch. say wearing it make yourself a human flesh Watch winder and put it down face up see how mnay hour it can run, if 40 hours (nomral life time for an Automatcic watch) can be achieved, that means that the Watch winder is too gentle to the wacth, and if that is so, can you rasie up the angle of the watch winder tilting more to the front for another additional 10 Degrees., I am sure that it helps!!

A normal Auto winding watch should store up min. 40 hours power when they are being wearing for one day. (Rolex Daytona is 72 hours!) if that is 24 hours and if they are consistently 24 hours every time you leave it after wearing for say 8 hours... Do I do need to check the ETA Calibre No., may be they are designed that way. But if the watch stops today for 24 hours and day after 30 hours or sometimes 10 hours...then I am sure the watch need some overhauling... Then in that case, I will suggest you to send ot Tissot service centre for health check... or bring it to me next time you come HK... I will help you... What is the watch model!?
