President Ninoy visit to France

President of Philippines and France met on 18 Sept

The one who take care President Ninoy should take note on Presidents collar, the whole day was flipped up.  Seems he had forgotten to check on mirror, but where is his followers who could remind him!?

I always think that a loafer may not be too appropriate to this high profile meeting…between two countries. I have seen Ronald Regan used to wear loafer besides using Florsheim imperial, but he was a movie star….got to have a style!

Well, Ninoy shoes is Gucci, that indicates that the President is one of the adorers of French Luxury brands…But watches, still Swiss made … he used to wear his Breguet Chronometers, but I have no ways to confirm if this is the one in his French Visit.

I have been missing seeing this president in his favourite restaurant as I want to sell watches to him..LOL
He is really could buy, as he is from the Richest Philippino Family!

Manny Pacquiao lost his Vintage Daytona in a 5 star Hotel in Manila

The message was reported by Blog friend Johnson at Manny’s face book.

From what he said this is a Vintage Rolex, yes, Vintage (model?) Daytona embedded with diamonds.

Question 1

Pacquiao said the watch was Vintage, on he said that the watch was Rolex Cosmograph year model 2010 with serial number G753439 (verified that GXXXXXX is 2010 watch).

Question 2.

He knows this is rare and expensive watch why he put down his watch for hand washing, most of all Rolex is waterproof including this Daytona. Pacman ' watch may have problem in water resistant.
 I never put down my watch in rest room.

Question 3

How much this watch is worth? I really don't know much of vintage Rolex as it depends who wants to buy it at Auction, this watch is at least worth USD$485,000 (according to MP said in his Fb)

Some of places he used to show up, like La Opera at Fort or Wooden Horse Restaurant in Alabang as I have seen his pictures Manny taken with Restaurant’s owner Kochi Tabei hanging at the wall beside the rest room.

Next time I should follow him to the rest room, as he used to have a lot of Expensive Rolex!

Robin Williams died on Monday 11 August at home.

When I landed Manila this morning, just had a chance to pick up tis news!

I am sad as Robin is one of my favourite actors, I still remember I watch the movie Good Morning Vietnam (1987)  and the later one The Bicentennial Man (1999).

These are two Robin’s movies I cannot forget, the first one is comedy with a finale episode of those Bombing Saigoon killing famers, civilians at same time Louis Armstrong Sings “What a Beautiful World”…very touching.  I am sure this sentimental scene make more people knows about this fabulous song of Louis Armstrong. The picture was mostly shot in Bangkok instead of Vietnam, ranked 4^th highest grossing film in 1987. Chintara Sukapatana is very pretty in the Movie!
Similarly the beautiful song also appears in the last two minutes of the movie "Madeline".

As for the Bicentennial man, the story was touching as if you see you beloved one getting old and died in your arms… That keep telling us to pay attention to those who you love, care for your friends and relatives.

Robin dies at age of 63, this is a loss of those who loves him.

Anita Mui was a HK Legend, she is a star, and who could be the next great singer after her death?

She left so many good music and songs to us to enjoy, to recall, laugh and to wipe.

She has a large eye carrying some sort of misery,  a prominent nose, having no body shape like Pamela, but she is always the sexist woman in my mind, Yes, she is my idol!

Today I picked up her signature CDs and listened, It was a new surprise. If you had this CD, try to understand every word she sings.

Life could not be happier as all it takes is how you look at it, I like its lyrics  especially” Everybody said Hoo! Hoo!

If you had this CD, listen the song No. 3… no words could describe what Anita sings….a perfect voice, light jazz music with the way she translate on what she was thinking. A thoughtful day to me I think.

TACLOBAN CITY -- Thousands of survivors of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) erupted into wild cheers Sunday 24 Nov, to celebrate the victory of Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, bringing back laughter and revelry briefly to a central Philippine region that was turned into a corpse strewn wasteland by the powerful storm.

Pacquiao's triumph over American Brandon Rios in Macau served as a rallying point for many still-traumatized survivors, many of whom lost loved ones and their homes to the November 8 typhoon, which killed more than 5,200 people and left 1,600 others missing. Haiyan also damaged or destroyed one million homes, displacing more than three million people.

But on Sunday, many jumped repeatedly in joy as they cheered on Pacquiao, who won by unanimous decision to take the WBO international welterweight title.

I went Cebu last week and found some of the hot Tee-shirt on sales in supporting the homeless people. "Bangon Talocban" means Rise again Taocban!.

I was told that there is long queue in Manila to buy those T-sheet. from peso 199 to 250 each.

Ip Man is a legendary Fung Fu Grandmaster, that is no question about it.

Someone has asked me recently what watch Ip man was wearing when he was in Hong Kong?

I started to find friends of mine and someone who knows Ip Man.

Someone Said Omega Seamaster and someone said Ernest Borel, and from what I see on all his pictures, he seemed did not wear any watches at all.

And From all the recent five Ip man Movies I have seen including the Wong Kar Wai's latest "The Grandmasters" 

There is nothing on his wrist, may be a Real Fung Fu man needs a super tough watch and I believed his speed of straight Punch would damage any watch made at that time…

But it has the same hiccup of other Kenetic watch as once you had problem on the capacitor, it had to returned to factory to change; it may cost a few hundred to thousand dollars!
