Am flying into HK airport next week on way to china. Is there anywhere in airport can purchase a rolex the same price as you have been mentioning?
Cheers

Paul

HK Snob said...

Dear Paul,
Good question, and by so far, I can see these are the watches boutique we have in HKIA HK International Airport:Omega,
Cartier, Tiffany, Jaeger LeCoutle, IWC, Piaget, Montblanc, and Artium that have Frank Mullar, Chopard, Longines, Frederque Constant...
But NO Rolex! I do not know why, probably I should get to talk to Rolex...

Hi Snob,

Thanks for your quick reply. Gutted there isnt any at the airport as Hongkong definately seems the cheapest place to buy a Rolex.(looked at UK, USA, Bermuda, Bangkok) Dont suppose you have any idea of the cost of them in China??

Cheers

Hi Snob,

Thanks for your quick reply. Its disappointing unable to purchase in airport as prices you quote are cheaper than other places looked,(UK, USA, Bermuda, Bangkok). Know its a long shot but do you know the prices of Rolex in china??

Cheers

Paul

HK Snob said...

Dear Paul, I had limited information about China, as I seldom Travel there. Only 2010 I worked in China Shan Dong One year, I had noticed that their Rolex AD in Tsing Tao has limited Choice, I saw one Milgauss green Glass, and some Datejust Two tone and Stainless only. less than 100 Rolex in the AD! But that was 2 years back at Shan Dong Tsing Tao, I am sure today's Shanghai and GuangZhou has a lot more choice!!
Even I could not see and Submariner and Date Date at Shan Dong. Well the Milgauss after conversion was slightly lower than the price of HK about HKD$2,000 and the case was that it was hard to get one in HK at that time...
and I intended to buy but they could not allow my HK VISA to be used. How can I have that amount of RMB Cash with me? They allowed China Great Wall VISA some thing like that! So I dropped the idea for that Watch. So if you have time can you check the Rolex AD and tell me roughly their price say for Stainless steel Date just Ref 166234 with no diamond HK$55,860 net Submariner black dial Ref 116610LN HK$58,995 net. With these input roughly I know what is the price range of Rolex Price Tags in the region.
Wish you could support me on this...
As A Rolex Fan... Hope I can meet you too... Mind telling me what part of China you will visit?
Let me know if you want to buy Rolex as I know the right people in AD HK!

Tama

HK Snob said...

Dear Tama,
it is important to buy from Reliable source for a Pre-owned Rolex watch, My choice goes to Kuen Kee as they have been doing this for 30 years, even those overseas dealers buy from them. Make a trip there and search, it will have what you want likely!!

Hi Snob,

Just to inform you looked for a black submariner with date, (116610) whilst in China and was a little disappointed to find it was 62,500. Also, like you mentioned it is very difficult in China to pay with visa/mastercard.
My search continues!!

Cheers

Paul

HK Snob said...

Hi Paul, That is too expensive, I assume that is RMB!?
No ViSa, who will pay be Cash?!
Try in HK!

Hi Snob,

Would be much appreciated just incase I can get there.
Thanks

The nearby AD to HKIA is in Tsuen Wan, Chow Tai Fook, Chow Sang Sang and King Fook and the one Tai Hing. That are all packed togethr between junction of Sha Tsui Road and Chung On street.

Thank you so much & appreciated your help.

Hi Henry,
New from Rolex AD for Ref 11710LN list price HKD$61,200 less 5% becomes HKD$58,140, wehereas 116610LN is HKD$62,100 less 5% becomes HKD$HKD$58,800.
used one depends on condition and year. as a general reference.
Ref 116610LN is from HKD$45,000 to HKD$51,500.00
Ref 116710LN is from HKD$46,000 to HKD$52,800 as this is lesser in 2nd hand market, hence more expensive.

Hi Paul,
Price is same. Depends on where you shop, holiday inn one has more choice, but if you have decided to buy submariner, they are same, no matter holiday inn or Wah Hing. Only matters who has the watch you want. Anyway , they are just 15 minutes away by MTR!

Hi HK Snob

Am looking at the lady DJ 31mm 178344 mop or 178341 black. Are u able to get it at better than 5% off in hk? As these are newer models not easy to get 2nd hand in hk rite?

Tks

Beemer from spore.

HK Snob said...

Hi Beemer,
No, It is not possible to get more than 5% discount at Rolex AD HK, Only grey dealer could.
There is so far hard to find one used of these Ref 178344 nor ref 178341 as they are quite new. Also these are women Rolex, about 35% of Women Rolex are gift from her boy friends or husband, they seldom sell them straight away.

Hello! Im loving your blog, HK Snob! Very interesting and informative, indeed. =) My sister will be going to HK next month and I'm wondering if HK is the best place for me to get my husband a watch for his birthday. Do you have any idea how much a brand new Rolex Submariner TT 16613 (black dial) costs? How much for a pre-owned? Would you also give me the name of the shops I should ask my sister to look into when she gets to HK? Hope to hear from you. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

HK Snob said...

Hi Meib Fernabdez,
Sub TT Ref 116613 is HKD$94,700, discounted woth 5 Percent to HKD$89,965 at Rolex AD.

These are the shops of All Rolex AD in HK
http://watch-fever.blogspot.hk/2011/10/where-to-buy-new-rolex-watch-in-hong.html

If I were ased, I will recommned Wah Hing at Mong Kok and Rolex AD at Holiday in Golden Miles as they are a lot of choice and easy to assees to MTR station. Other are OK with same price applies.
Honesty a Pre-owned watch in HK for you may be inappropriate unless you know Rolex watches, Pre-owned Sub TT is about less 20% -25% as of the new.
of course price depends on the condtiion of the watch, but looking at the price available, is it worth to buy used one? Well, you can go to look for it at shops

Hello Mr Snob,
Long time no speak, I am the one who bought a green sub earlier this year in UK at a price cheaper than in HK.
I am on a roll, received a new Tudor Black Bay last week, have to ordered it from France, paid list. Tudor has no AD in UK, strange. I love it, very please of it. Furthermore I just ordered a pre-owned Tudor for the wife, 22020, 12 months young, claim never been worned and at 50% of the list price, very happy.
My long term goal is still the blue sub, 116619LB, saw a new pre-owned from Germany advertise at 40% below the list, tempted but it is still nearly 17k Sterling, no fund (and fun) yet.
Talk to you again soon.
K Tong

HK Snob said...

Hi K Tong,
This Sub is one of the shopping list on Rolex. I am having no "Fun"
to buy too at this moment, as I spend some money on Hi Fi and Vinyl, but i wonder why so expensive in UK for this watch 17K sterling!?
Why there is no Tudor AD in UK?
So My question was why SS Submariner was cheaper than HK but your WG Sub blue dial is so much more expensive!
I thought Rolex has a more or less standardized price with minimum varitaion on all models across all
major sales locations world wide.
HK Snob
Ps Nice to talk to you again!

Anonymous said...

I saw the blue sub was listed $240k in AD in HK.
It has a new list price £24k in the UK. This price has just been increased last month, it was around 7%. It is inclusive of the sale tax. So it is true that Rolex could be cheaper than in HK if the tax was returned.

Anonymous said...

Hi HK snob,

Great reading your blog and learning all about Rolex. I'm planning on getting a black SS daytona for my hubby 40th. They quoted HKD96k from nonAD. Is it a good price? What to check if buying from non-AD?

Many many thanks!

HK Snob said...

Hi there,

Rolex AD is selling $98K,
Grey Dealer is Selling $95-96K depends on shop.
Supposed that the Country Code is not HK, 888, may be Swiss 104! or others. that is expected.
The whole watch is wrapped with transparent tapes, and there is bar code on the side of the watch on the tape. You should able to see it. Besides, you should have a Waranty certificate, box, booklet, red seal, that is quite standard for the Rolex, Daytona comes with a big box... Well, To be honest, I would go to buy from AD if the difference is just $2,000. 2%! I can sleep at night with my Daytona on my hand... but all it takes is how much you know the shops., there are many good grey dealers which are having good reputation in HK.

HK Snob said...

Hi There

One Blog fan wants to sell his new Daytona SS Black complete with everything ... if you want, I can connect you to him...

Would you also know of shops that sell vintage 1016?

Thanks!

In fact i want to know between GMT Master II and submarine, which one is better? could you please give me the address of Wah Hing in Mongkok? (it is near where?) I try to google it but cannot find it. btw how can i know the rolex i bought is real and the latest? thanks a lot. you are right that rolex will raise price soon but dont know when.... what is the different if i buy a new rolex watches in those shops you mentioned vs some shops like Lafayette watch shop in TST? thanks a lot.

HK Snob said...

Hi There

GMT Master II Ref, 116710LN2 is HKD$62,100 list price, Cash is also 5%discount.
I like GMT master II than Submariner more , but this is personal taste only!.
if you buy in HK Rolex AD, all are real Rolex as you can see all are bar code, laser marks on teh watch...
Also the watch is wholly taped...
I have never heard of fake rolex sold in Rolex AD so far in the past 20 years... if there is ... will be a big news!!
Lafayette sells pre-owned, used or grey dealer new watch,,, that is not the same as the business practice of Rolex AD. You should make your wise choice...

Hi, how much is it if i buy a new GMT Master II from you? Does it worth to buy a new Rolex watches from the shops in Champagne Court at Tsim Sha Tsui or the shops in the basement of Holiday Inn Golden Miles at Nathan Road Tsi Sha Tsui? They sell real rolex watches right? (but i cannot tell are they real or not.... ). Do you know when rolex will raise prices again?

Anonymous said...

Do you think is normal GMT Master II more investable or Gold stainless steel GMT Master II? Thanks.

HK Snob said...

We look at the pre-owned watch market, a used Two tone GMT master is about HKD$48,000 to 63,000, whereas a used Stainless steel one under similar condiiton is selling HKD40,000 to 48,000. Comparing with the Selling price of new watch. Stainless steel has a better 2nd hand market. Mainly more people now tend to go for stainless steel version. So if you like two tone, it is better price to buy from pre-owned watch market.
HK Snob

HK Snob said...

Both Champange court and basement of Holiday Inn are selling pre-owned watches as their majority
If purely saying where to buy a NEW Rolex, I would have to say go to Rolex AD, as they sell new watch only. Those two area you mentioned has their best value in survival by selling pre-owned watches. You tell me you do not know how a real or fake Rolex is like. I am thinkging you had better go to Rolex AD to avoid future trouble! My opinion only.
Also the price of the NEW watches at two places you mentioned is not too attractive much!, But they have good Collectible watch sometime...

HK Snob said...

Hi Both Champang court and hliday In basement is paradise for Vintgae watch collector not for new Rolex, I think!
I used to buy there too for some rare watches...
HK Snob

HK Snob said...

Hi
I do not sell watch, I am just a fan of Rolex and many other watch.

HK Snob said...

Hi there

New Explorer II will not be as good as Ref, 116610LV, or 16610LV as the later one has smaller number of production.
Still We can get one or two on Rolex AD but we have to walk arund in HK. They Cannot give your discount at HKD$62,100. The one sold in grey Dealer and Rolex AD is same except the country code is different. As grey Dealer ususaly buy from oher country at lower price, they are the same.

the country code article is very nice!!!! So does it mean that all the watches we buy in HK AD should be 888 code? if we bought non-888 code in pre-owned shops, does it mean that it would be fake or is this why the price is cheaper than AD shop? thanks. how much is that country code worth if say selling or re-sell non-888 rolex in HK? would it be cheaper?

HK Snob said...

Hi if you buy Rolex from AD, naturally should be 888 coded,
and if you buy watches from grey dealer, likely not 888, they may be brought from some other places that is cheapr by currency and or likley special discount, that is they way they earn our money.
Well, watch without 888 codes does not mean it is fake, and 888 codes should be having no price advantage for buying or selling.

Hi There,

Make sure your Rolex is waterproof by checking it every 4-5 years at Rolex Service centre, Provided ou watch is Watchproof, you should lock up the crown for water tight, use some diliuted disk washing agent and use a soft brush to clean the watch. You would be surprised to see there are so much dirts, then rinse it under luke warm water to clean the residues of cleaning agent. You will see your Rolex Looks like new!
in fact this is listed on Rolex User Manual hand book.

HK Snob said...

Hi
This is a tough question as all depends on your perference, your career, your budget, your people who work with, your working environemnt.
Say if you are a Maritime Police, may be a Rolex Submariner. if you are Pilot, a GMT Mastr II, if you are an office in the office, then a DateJust Turn-O-Graph. if you are a Jewellery Sales Man, then may be a Gold Watch. if you ask for a Daily wearing in Business, I would say A Rolex Submariner, or a IWC Big Pilot, or An AP Royal Oak 15400ST stainless Steel 41mm watch, A Calibre de Cartier, or a Grand Seiko, or a Patek Pilippe Jumbo Nautilus, Auto Calibre model 3800 if you can afford a bit more.

Hi, could you please teach us how to know we bought a real or second hand or fake rolex? thanks a lot.

HK Snob said...

Hi

There is no short cut to tell and how to tell that is a NEW , UDED and 2nd hand Rolex
All it take is experience, if you ask for this , we may need to write a book!

New usually has a newer S/N number, and they should come with all kind of laser maker on the inner bezel wit “ROLEX” there is Rolex Crown on the edge of the crystal,

There is Ref, Number stamped on the body and also S/N on the other side of the slug,
There is warranty certificate, box and the Red Rolex seal of SCOC, there is a laser label on the bottom on the watch. But these kinds of label are now on sales on Internet, those are fake labels.

Used one is easier to tell, a sit is old, chipped, wearing off at the edge of the watch
And if they try to polish the old Rolex as new, it will look new but the profile of the watch changes and it will become small, the FATTER the Rolex, the newer it is.

Fake one
Well, there are so many way to tell, but now the Digital Fake is making like real, we have to take a closer look to find out the Fake watch on
1. The Printing quality on the screen
2. The Rolex Crown sharpness on the president strap, the Real one is very sharp and clear at all edges and Fake is round off, and not well cut.
3. The Proportion of the hour makers, the second, minutes pointer length, there is certain proportional
4. Cyclops magnification power should be 2,5 times and the Date under the magnifying glass should look sharp, at the center of the watch dial opening, and larger enough.
5. The Surface finished of the crown, the bezel should be having fine and clear machine cutting lines
6. The weight of a Rolex has a standard, usually lighter one is fake, but sine 15 years ago, they can fake any weight we need…
7. The Second pointer moves in steps.
8. When we swing the rotor of a Real Rolex, we could barely hear the rotation bearing noise which is light, smooth and clear, not binding, and loud…(Fake)
9. a good Rolex second pointer should move when you swing it a few rounds as there is minimum bearing friction on a real good Rolex, the Fake one may not be moved if you swing it two three rounds

10. A real Rolex Date Just, Submariner, should have power reserve of 40 hours and Daytona should have 72 hours.

11. The fake Rolex dial is not too FLAT when you look with light reflection on it.

Whereas the real is perfectly flat.

12. The Real Rolex has certain luster from the White gold bezel and the fake one is dull
13. The Real gold Rolex colour is full, sexy and shinning, whereas a Fake one is dull and colour is lighter… so Gold luster at all

…..more… This is my experience…

General new and used one is easy to tell and Real and High Quality Fake one is a bit tough unless we have experience to scrutinize it!

Yes, you are right, a few places outside HK had some price increase if 8%, but HK still maintain the old price as of last year. May be the bad economy does not support the new price adjustment!

why 888 country code rolex can be more expansive than non-888 country code rolex? i know you mentioned that the different is one from HK and the other one is from other areas. but does it really worth that much different? is it more risky to buy non-888 rolex watches? how about the re-sell value? does it the same for 888 and non-888 ?

HK Snob said...

Hi There,
in fact, 0888 is OK as this is for Hong Kong, What I prefer is HK, Switzerland, France, Italy... I am a bit not quite comfortable for those for small country, as no one except Rolex knows what has the difference between the watch shipping to HK or a small island at edge of Afracia! I just not sure.
Again 0888 or 0010 is good number.

HK Snob said...

Hi
I made mistakes , After I checked carefully
This is the late History of GMT Master II, Ref 16710 and 116710
There is no 116710LN2

Ref 16710
Production Period: 1989-2007
Model Name: Rolex GMT Master II
Caliber: 3185 (late models with 3186), 28800A/h, hacking, quickset (24-hour-hand)
Pressure proof to 100m/330ft
Bracelet: Oyster 78360 and 78790 (Oysterlock), Jubilé 62510
Glass: Sapphire crystal
Bezel: Anodized aluminum, 120 clicks
Indexes:
• Tritium (until 1997): T<25 dial
• Luminova (1998/99): Swiss dial
• Superluminova (2000-2007): Swiss made dial
Ref 116710
Production Period: 2007-...
Model Name: GMT Master II
Caliber: 3186, 28800A/h, hacking, quickset (24-hour-hand)
Pressure proof to 100m/330ft
Bracelet: Oyster 78200
Glass: Sapphire crystal
Indexes: Superluminova
The completely redesigned GMT Master II was presented in 2005 (only yellow gold: Ref. 16718 LN) and launched as anniversary model (all green dial, but later the black dial became an option). At the Basel fair 2006 the steel/yellow gold version (Ref. 116713 LN) was introduced. A year later, the Ref. 116710 LN (steel only) was shown at the same place.
Compared to it's predecessor (Ref. 16710), the new watch features:
• Triplock crown as compared to the twinlock crown of the old GMTs.
• Anti-reflective cyclope lense.
• Green 24-hour hand.
• Maxi dial.
• Ceramic bezel (24-clicks compared to 120 clicks). Numbers are made out of gold (gold, steel/gold versions) and platiunum (steelversion).
• New bracelet: Polished center links, a more solid clasp (similar to the Daytona).
• New movement: 3186, no new features but some improvements:
• Hour hand is much smoother and more precise compared to the 3185.
• New hairspring (Parachrom Bleu), which is less sensitive to temperature variations and less sensitive to magnetic fields. Made out of Niob and Hafnium.
• Larger case.
• ROLEX engraving on the inner bezel ring.
Until now, the only bezel color available is black. Maybe in the future we'll see again a Pepsi model. According to rumours, Rolex is working on the twocolored bezel, but the combination of the different ceramiccolors seems to be the hurdle.
Other variants:
• Ref. 116713 LN steel/yellow gold, Oysterbracelet 78203
Ref. 116718 LN yellow gold, Oysterbracelet 78208

Hi HK Snub,

thanks very much for the clarification on 116710LN; since this is a popular model, I should be able to find in any Rolex AD? expect to pay HKD 58140, after 5% discount? can this be paid by credit card? or there is other discount by paying in cash?
I will travel to HK the 1st week of Dec., anyway you recommend near the airport?
thanks again.

HK Snob said...

Hi JD
You can pay by VISA card, and there is no extra discount by payment cash, instead they might say thank you one more time to you if you pay Cash as they gain extra 2.5% (HKD$1,453) There is no AD in HKIA and there is no difference going to town either Tsim Sha Tsui or Tsuen Wan (near Airport) as There is less chance you can get in Tsuen Wan than in Tsim Sha Tsui for your beloved GMT Master. Mong Kok also 6 minutes away from TST by Train. I suggest to go to the Tsim Sha Tsui to buy it. And you can tell in one week in advnace telling me when you will be in Town and I can check which shop has stock for you.

HK Snob said...

Hi

True!

Since 2007 Rolex Stopped using the Hologram Sticker on the back of the watch case, instead they use Laser to burn a Rolex Crown on the 6 o’clock position on the crystal. Partly the Hologram sticker was on sales internet, and there is no way to tell that is a Rolex issued sticker or not, moreover a Laser burn mark on the crystal is technical more challenge for small scale Copy Watch Maker! Check your watch for the tiny Crown on the crystal!!

i just want to post this link to tell people how to do three different time zones setting for GMT Master II. i don't know how to do it until after i read it. So just for other people's reference. Btw, i would like to know do i need to wind the watches everyday to keep it moving and accurate or as long as i keep wearing it than it will keep moving?

This is the link:
http://rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=51555&highlight=third+timezone

HK Snob said...

Hi There

The Link is very helpful on how to use the GMT Master II...

When you wear the watch 8 hours a day, normally it could store up the energy to power the watch for 40 hours. (except for Daytona that can have 72 hours power reserve) It should be good to keep watch accurate if you wear it on hand. if you wear it Eveyday, it should not stop.
Rolex Rotor is very efficient even I used it for four hours, it stay moving for the next day, I had never had my Rolex stopped.

Members of the Panerai Brotherhood known as “Paneristi” are weeping with joy over the July 1 announcement of a new, limited edition Panerai Luminor — that will be produced specially to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of Paneristi.com (the unofficial and undisputed resource on all things Panerai):
Only 300 will be made — meaning that the PAM 360 is set to become one of the most highly coveted and sought after Panerai’s. The PAM360 is a 44mm Luminor with black PVD case, patina dial markers, and the “OP” logo

yes i would want to know why 116610LV is so hot given it is still in volume production. i see people can still get a new one in those preowned shops. so is it really good for investment?
btw, i want to know in my new GMT Master II that i just bought, there is no laser hologram sticker at the back but it still has a little cutted green sticker in the corner at the back. does it correct? i bought it from AD. thanks.

HK Snob said...

Hi
Your mentioned Label is correct.
yes, 116610LV is still in production by under limited control.
Look at Daytona, what is the point to buy a Stainless steel watch at a price of Gold-Stainless steel?
Purely, that is the Rolex Marketing Strategy! Well, to launched a Green Dial and bezel Submariner is beautiful or not is very Subjective, But a smaller exposure makes it more valuable and sought after..

There is nothign wrong, Yes, I like the colour and I think it is more charmign than 16610LV.

My opinion only, get one if your have the extra budget...

HK Snob

Anonymous said...

oh great. so do i need to remove that green label at the back? i need to remove the very thin plastic tape around the stainless belt right?
will u buy the green submarine or black daytona for investment?

HK Snob said...

Hi

If that label stays there does not affect your skin, you can let it stay there, and the blue tape on the strap can be removed.

yes. The Green Bezel green dial is a beautiful Item from Rolex.
I like it to buy one after I get some bonus! Haha...

HK snob

Anonymous said...

that green label will not affect the watches if it stay with the watches too long right? i afraid the sweat will make the label become bad and affect the beauty of the watches. how about black daytona? is it better than green submarine? when you will get your bonus? what are you doing for living? you are so rich.

HK Snob said...

Hi
Your are welcome.... yes..
If You use the watch, you should remove the label as i am afraid the label glue will cause allergy to the skin of your wrist.

Of course Daytona is more collectible than the Ref 116610LV as the Mechanism is very different than Submariner. and Daytona has a power reserve of 72 hours whereas Sub has only 40 hours. Black or White dial to me is just personal Preference, Philippino like White and HK people like Black.
Well, many people asks me what do I do for living, I sell Semiconductor Equipment to the Semicon Companies Like Texas Instrument, Sharp, ST..etc
I am a Marketing manager That is the way to make a living, just enough to buy a Watch once in a while. I like Rolex since I was very young and started to collect and sold the oneand making an upgrade buy!
Money is never enough and all it takes is how to spend it for something you like and makes you happy... Are you HK people!?
HK snob

Anonymous said...

yes. i wear the watch for daily. i just afraid that if i wash the watch, the green label will be removed automatically. in the mean time, i will leave the green label in there. i guess after i wash the watches, the green label will be removed automatically right?
you must be a rich semi conductor marketing manager. yes i am a HKer.

HK Snob said...

Let me check with the friends for more ablout the label first,
I will let you know later.
I am not rich as In fact I am very poor, I was not able to be 'SWEET' in front of the top managment, But I am very loyal to the company, that is the only point the company still give me the job or I had been kicked out of the company already. Since you are HKer. You know that if one is 50 years old, Over 500K salary and no more potential to be promoted.., what will be the fate to this man,
Besides, I am watch collector, I am also collector for Vinyl, Vintage HiFi equipment, Vacuum Tubes, Cuff Links and Tie Clip, Fountain Pens, I like wine, I love gadget things... Where is the money to support this Expensive Hobbies!

Rolex has no price adjustement this year so far,
I am thinking green bezel Sub has a higher potential in terms of Appreaciation as a collection item as the base price is lower and Even harder to get it from Rolex AD than Daytona.

I trust my instinct only!

actually i wanna know usually when rolex will stop to produce some watches? for example, i saw a pink colour daytona in a pre-owned shop and they tell me cant buy a new pink colour daytona anymore. so i wanna know how long usually will stop prodcution for some of their watches??

Hi There
It is difficult to say, Marketing of Rolex is a kind of art. They have to maintain certain percentage of people to get the watch (sales) and Reduce too many to get it (Loss) So some model is made in smaller number especially they are classified beautiful watch.
Yes, Pink Dial Daytona had not been seen for some times.. If you want, you have to go for the pre-owned watch market!

does green sub really is smaller quota?? because i really can it is still selling it in many rolex AD shop, not mentioned the pre-owned shops....

maybe it is because of the bad economy.....

Hi There,

Tell me where you can see Green Sub is selling!? Display on the window!?
As for Sub Black, even we can not have stock enough for the demand, I have friends at least two is asking me for Sub Black X2 and Sub green X2...
I had run out of ways to get them, may be my connnection is limited to a few shops of AD,
And Mind telling me how much they sell? Over price > $66,100?

went to buy mark six today and see a construction worker dressed not that nice but still wore a rolex black daytona. makes me feel a bit downgrade about rolex.....

HK Snob said...

Hi There

Well, it should be upgrade as you know Rolex is Famous for what: Durablility, always retains certain value, Beautiful and Rugged case.. that is why carpenters, Sailors, Construction works wear it, does not mean it has been down grade...
My thought on it only.
And, 5 out of 10 Daytona in HK is Fake!!
So that MAY be a fake one too!?
ha! Merrry Christmas!

Hi Mr. Snob,

I am 29 this year, I would love to buy my very first Rolex, Just fell in love with Datejust model 16233, Is there anywhere in Hong Kong I can find this model with a good reasonable price. I was in HK the other day and came across Uncle Raymond he has a small shop in Central near Lan Kwai Fong he was quoting 17k HKD.
I live in Macau, let me know if you have somebody or some places i can look for this watch. Thank you in advance. Raga

Hi HKS,

How much is a brand new rolex 116520 SS Black face today? and how much do you think a secondhand 2005 model 116520 Black face in good condition would cost now?

Thanks!

HK Snob said...

Hi There
a 116520 Black is now selling at Rolex AD HKD$95,000 net,
and I think a 2005 Black is seeling about HKD$78,000 to 82,000
of course the condition of the watch is crucial to determine the price.
