    Just called them...
There is no stock for 16610LV Date Submarier by now.
They have one piece 116710N GMT master II green hand offered for me at HKD$54,300.00

  11. Hi Mr. Snob,

This is my first time to read your blog and i'm hooked already! I going to Hkg in April and i'm planning to buy a Rolex SS Submariner black but after reading your blog, and seeing you wear a nice white gold daydate to your work, i'm starting to have second thoughts. I already have an SS Daytona white, an Explorer 2 white, a yellow Gold daydate. The Submariner would be my first black face Rolex. Please help me decide which of the 2 i should buy as i can only afford to bye one for now. Thanks!

    Andrey

  12. Hi Andrey,
All Depends on how much you will use the type of watch you would like to buy. As for my cases, I need to see customers eveyrday, and I like Day Date that can tell the day to me without any schedule mistakes, and I like to have the best from the Line...That is Day Date of Rolex. I like Gold as it reflect certain kind of Class,(White Gold) Low Profiile sometimes for work, (Yellow Gold)High Profile for meeting friends after works! As for Submariner, It is a nice watch, but in the case of HK, there are just too many people wearing it... OL, young kids, managers... And I am feeling a bit resistant to use it. hence I have no more SS Rolex Watch anymore. Like Iphone4, there are too many Iphone4, So I had to draw a line to separate from them.
This is my style, you do not have to follow me. If I were asked which one to buy, of course the Submariner Green Bezel might be the most beautiful Sport watch on Earth.

  13. Hi again Mr. Snob,

Thanks for your quick reply, do you mean Rolex Submariner Green Bezel with the green dial? or Green Bezel in black dial? The second one was my first choice. I hope i can find one that easily since i will be staying in Hongkong for only 4 days. Are you familiar with Luxury Watch Store in Causeway bay? My friend referred that, i just want to know if it's a reputable watch store. Maybe you can recommend one for me, cause i think i trust you more now than my friend, hahaha!

  14. Hi,

I am considering a SS Daytona. Is it possible to get at any of the authorized dealers? In the past, every store I ask, they just laugh and say its impossible to get. If it is from an authorized dealer, will they sell it at MSRP, or will they inflate the price? I will be in HK in mid April. Please let me know the MSRP in HK, and if its possible to get. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi, Well, It is really a bit hard for a new SS Daytona and I am not able to get MSRP unless I ask friend there right at the Shops. Let me check tomorrow.
How about go for a pre-owned SS Daytona! There is a lot of shops selling this hot item in Tsim Sha Tsui!? Unless you really need a Brand New Item!?

  16. Hi, Awesome job on the blog. Just wondering if the price is valid for the Milgauss GV at HKD$46,000 now? Let me know! Cheers. keep up the good work on your blog!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hi , Milgauss GV is more than that HKD$46,000. As From my Nov 2010 price book It was HKD$51,500.00. However Recently they have increase price for about 5-8% for all model, This Ref 116400GV-72400 is now estimated as HKD$55,620. I can likely get a discount of 5% at my favourite shop... So I Guess you can... The price will be HKD$52,839.00!
This is my estimated price as Many people ask me to buy for them, my usual shop has been aware that I am no longer COllector but "investor" hmmm!

    Good luck to you!

  18. Hi HK Snob,

Great blog, thanks for the good information. I'm currently in HK and thinking about getting a explorer ii with a black dial. What would you say would be a reasonable price and any tips on where to buy? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hi
All depends you want a New or preowned one. as for new one, I think it is best to go to Chow Tai Fook, Chow Seng Seng, prince Watch company to get it.
usually you should get a less 5% for these sport item.
As for pre-owned one, I would go to those Shop in Champagne Court at Tsim Sha Tsui take a look, and or the shops in the basement of Holiday Inn Golden Miles at Nathan Road Tsi Sha Tsui, usually you can have some price negotiation there. Or You can go to Kuen kee at Sham Shui Po... Or Lung Shing at Sham Shui po...
    http://lungshingcentre.com/

There you can see your watch.. this shop has been runing more than 40 years... realible, Price is a bit negotitable. I have bough some rolex and AP some twenty years ago Untill I know those dealers.
    Good Shopping....!

    Refer to this map:
    http://hk.centamap.com/gc/home.aspx

at corner of Lock Road and Peking Road, there is a Hi Class pre-owned Shop occupying gound and 2nd floor, I saw a Rolex Milgauss brand new a HKD$52,000 two days ago, I am sure there are Explorer II Black dial There... The watches are shipped from Japan... Reliable too.

  30. Hi Ad,

I think the best nearby shop is Chow Tai Fook opposite Eaton Hotel on the other side of Nathan Road.
But What I heard from watch dealer of Rolex today is that they WILL HAVE ANOTHER PRICE increase on next Monday. So I think this is the 2nd time of price adjustment after November 2010. So that the price I have checked will likely be invalid... Rolex is Like Gold, The price changes every 6 months!

  52. Hi Felicia,
Well, as HK Dollar is packed with US dollar, and Euro is appreciating day by day vesus US Dollar. So that HK is suffering by Dollar depreciation. Singaporean Dollar is strong so that you will not see any changes at the exchange rate. So You should buy that in Singapore for that Particular watch.

and The price we can get is SAME for all Authorized dealers of Rolex in HK.
The most percentage is less 5% only.. Unless you had a very good relationship with the shop manager...You can Visit CTF, CSS, Orental as listed on the authorized Roelx dealers. In fact they are same.

I am a fan of Rolex Sport watch, and I think they are all time classic and beautiful!!

I heard that the new Explorer II Orange has launched in HK, of course, that is limited unit, and they are not the official Rolex release, I have to see the actual one to determine if it is beautiful or not as Rolex has amplified the size to 40mm, I hope it will not lose the proportion.
If we buy it with normal price, likely we have to wait for October .

    Keep updating you al guys...

  105. Hi Wayne,
of course, the stainless steel one as this is a diver sport watch, it should go for Stainless steel for your all time occassion usage. So more you use, less you pay for it... and you can save a big portion of your money to buy another say Explorer II Orange!
    How is that idea sounds?!?

Will there be further discounts if I were to pay in cash?

  107. Hi Kelvin A,
All depends on the situation and your negotiation technique, I was told from one of the Singaporean watch buyer who asked me price and placed for the Rolexes. That he came to HK to Dickson at IFC Central, even he used AMEX card to buy with less 5% on submariner. I was shocked as normally AMEX carges higher 4-5% than ViSA 2.5%, so that meaned he enjoyed additional 2% discount. In case you pay case, I belive you should ask for waiving 2.5% of the card charges...Why not!?

  109. Hi Andre, Google netwrok problem that I can not post your comment.
Well I had a chance to buy a 14060M with the "Superlative Chronometer Official Justified" on dial, 99% new. Friend of mine sold me at HKD$34,500.00. That was about 2 month ago, in fact I have posted it on my Rolex Submariner Column. You can get to see it as There is two verisons, one has no such wording " Superlative... Justified" that should not be purchased!
Your friend one has such word. but even though, USD$5,000 is somewhat $500 more expensive than the one I saw. Well, depends on you...Price is almots there as Friend of mine is a dealer, not trader. price is somewhat lower than market. So HKD$5K is OK for the one with COSC wording..!

    HK Snob

  110. Hi Wayne,
116610LN should be HKD$58800.00 from my mempoery, after 5% discount you shuld get it at HKD$56,000.00 using your Master Card.
As friend of mine from Singapore used his AMEX card to buy this at Dickson Watch at IFC tower in June.
He might be a good talker to the sales Woman!? Well. You can do that...as you may be a Singapore Snob! haha..

    ReplyDelete
  112. Hi

The Price list was dated 2009, which is not updated, and I had another post for Nov 2010. Which is not updted too! Why?!
Beacsue Rolex has adjusted (simply Increased ) their price three times in 2011. So I have no way to track teir price, that is why many people asked me about the price. and Friend of mine would like to send me a updated price book but he does not able to make it due to reason I do not know.
As I am not selling Rolex and I am not workign for Rolex.. I am just a private Collector and Rolex Lover. So All I know is to ask one of my close freind who work in Rolex to tell me the List price and Discount AD should have...

  116. Hi Wayne From Singapore,
Submariner 16610LN Black and 16610LV green both are beautiful, of course, teh Green looks new and sleek. If I were asked to choose, Black seems more professional than Green. But if you are using it for Diving, Green looks more fasionable,if you can afford, just buy two!
Well, I am not a sales man from Rolex, but If I were asked to Buy , I will buy pre-owned one which is almost like new too, But I do not have to pay so much.
if you want to get a Pre-owned one, go to Luen Shing Shop at Sham Shui Po Ap Liu Street, corner of Cheugn Sha Wan Road and Nam Cheong Street, get off at Sham Shui Po Station, That Shop has been runnign for more than 30 years and never have any complaint by their customer. I had a few purchases one AP Royal Oak boy Size with Diamond bezel when I was young and One Rolex., It goes well.
As I have seen they have stock on these hot items Green and Black last Sunday. Price is about HKD$43,000.00 roughly as I could not remeber it. It comes with Orginal Waranty cert. and Boxes. If you want to go for brand new. You can Go to "Emperor" Shop for That, New Watch price is HKD$59,100.00. I am sure they have the Black one, but not too sure if they have the Green!
Drop me a mail or I can bring you there when you come to HK... Don't worry I will nto get commision, as I like People likes Rolex. Hmmm!

  117. Hi Roles Lover,
yes, again another Daytona Lover. Yes, Daytona is all time favourite for Rolex Watch Lover or even some of the non_Rolex_Lovers. A must Item for Watch Collector. However,
There is love and Hate on Daytona as It does not come with Date.
Well, some people like it as it is said to be more balance outlook without Date Window. As for me Date is useful and The Magnifying Glass is So Lovely and I would like to see it on Daytona, But look at Daytona Design, it might looked really Ugly if they put a Date Window on it!

If you want to buy Daytona SS I think it takes you HKD$97,800 for Black dial As I have seen new one Available at Sino Centre Ground floor Shop G30 "My Watch". Sino Centre is in Mongkok. They come with boxes and birth certificate.

and if you want to get it from Rolex AD, you have to walk through a few shops , price wise should be around that. White Dial should be a couple thousand dollar cheaper.

  118. Hi HL,
Rolex Daytona White dial HKD$88,000Is normal price. And If that is an AD offer. two months ago, one HK Famous AD for Rolex offered by HJD$83,000.00 for white Dial , have everything but not invoice. I did not take it as I asked it later for one of ROlex Blog Lover, She sold it already.

Explorer II, I heard that some one has it already, there are some limited circulation amongst the bog Rolex AD shop managers, of course the price is higher. They are used as a Special offer for Big VIP Rolex Customers especially those China Tycoons.
And I think by time end Oct the Rolex Explorer II organge hand will arrive in a bigger supply, I would like to wait for that time for this hot item, at least I am not too urgent to use it. I still do not know if 40mm is too big or not.

(pre-owned one is about HKD29,500 -HKD$35,000. and Explorer II Organge is about HKD$70,000 estimated price as there are some limited unit arrive HK not going through the official Rolex Shop. Official Goods should arrive by fall. There is no GST in HK.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Hi Rolex Fan, in my humble opinion, I like Explorer II more than Milgauss, as for more function you find on a watch like Explorer II, Unless you are engineer working in a Motion Lab and or motor manufacturer company that has a lot of Highly Magnetized modules and magnet, the Milguass will be survived there without beeing affected by magnetic Flux. Or simply you like the design to make a choice. Then it becomes personal preference rather than using its functions. You make a Final Choice!
But note that the new Orange Explorer II will be a hot cake, I you are determinted to buy your first Rolex. Why not focus on the hottest ? Explorer II Orange!

  131. Hi Rolex Fan,
A pre-owned 98% new 14060M is easy to find if that comes without words " Superlative Chronometere Officially Justified".
    It is about HKD$35,000.00
If that is the one with COSC wording, it is About HKD$38,000.00
If for new one, I really have to ask and I will talk to you later.
If you want to buy the pre-owned one, you can go Champange Court near Mira hotel, Holiday in Golden Miles arcade in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kuen Kee and Luen Shing at Sham Shui Po. I am planning to work on a list for HK's best Shops for Pre-owned Rolex!

    ReplyDelete
  133. Hi,
Choose what ever you like! Submariner is a beatiful Watch, not just function, feature, style and value... No regret to buy!
As for my first Rolex, you would never believe, it was 1980 that the Italian Trend for men was wearing smallest possible watch. The trend was Lady Day Just for men, So many people leadig the fashion would go for a lady Watch. Mine was a Day just Lady Stainless watch, I bought it at HKD$3900.00 and When I used it for a while, my first officer on board saw it and hs asked me to sell to him at HKD$4,100.00. I sold it... That was my first Rolex Watch that I earned Money. After That I was mad on Rolex, and When I returned HK, I met the chaps Kiu Tai Yu and Lau Kan Chuen who used to work in World Wide House Central in a watch shop. I bought my First Solid 14K Gold Bubble back Rolex from Kiu at HKD$5,000.00. then a lot of Gold Watches such as IWC, Jaeger mostly Vintage watches from them. I enjoyed using , showing and playing them. Then I bought a Boy Size Two tone Rolex Date Just in 1984, and after I while, I started to go for Rolex Day Date as I think that was beautiful till now.... Haha
Probably I have been using 30different Rolex Models in my life. Now I am collecting rare Rolex Date Day as There must have some goal for collector, Like Submariner, Daytona, my choice is Date Day.!

I'm currently in HK and will be around for a couple more weeks. I'm interesting getting a 168622 Yacht-Master (Midsize 35mm). Can't decide between the stainless steel or the two tone gold bezel (nice but might be too much bling)!

Could you please tell me what are current prices for these watches?

    Many thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  135. Hi TT, As for sport watch Yachtmaster, it is always a tendency to go for pure white, Stainless steel verison. As matter of fact the sport watch and Stainless steel is just like twins, they go together. As for size, it depends on who is using it, men or women!? If possible larger size is preferred as it is easier to ready and more durable in case of shock and water abuse.
As for price, since I am not in HK, I will check only if I go back HK...

If you are tall like 5' 6" or more go and buy a Submariner...it goes pergfectly with jean! It would keep boy's eyes starring at your watch first and then you!! Or may be you first then your James Bond's watch!

  151. Hi DK
Last time I saw DeepSEA was selling HKD$82,500 in Chow Sang Sang Mongkok at MTR exit. It was 22July , that I saw they have stock 1 piece. They may give you 3-4% Discount. Rolex Has adjusted price 4 times in 2011, Last time was June 2011.
Since Swiss Currency is strong and US dollar is weak, HK Dollars is packed with USD. I am afraid there will be another price increase soon. On the other hand I feel sorry that I have no new price information for other people who asked me for as I was busy in the week.

    16610LV
    14060M

What is the diff between LN and LV? Black face on LN and Green on the LV? I really don't need the date so do you think the 14060M is a better buy?

    thanks Cheers from California Ed

Yes, Black face on LN and Green on the LV! If you do not want a date, so the 14060M is better buy and its much cheaper!
Price LN $62100 less 4% at Chow Sang Sang Mong kok (22 Jul).
Price LV is $69600, less 0-3% depends on availabilily.
    14060M is about HKD$48,000 estimated.

I would suggest going to Chow Tai Fook, or Chow Sang Sang for new, and Kuen Kee for used one.
As for Kuen Kee, they can get your watch returned within one year at certain discount, of course. They have been running this business for 30 years, As Chinese says: Good Credibilty!
See my previous post on the location and details.

  175. Hi Francis, Well, A bit too expensive... I will not spend that amount for an used Explorer II. Might be HKD$30,000 to HKD$33000 is OK for me. But I do see that they offer Explorer II at range of HKD$30,000-38,000 only.
If I had a chance I go and check for you! If you can gat it at HKD$35500 in Singapore, That is not a bad price!

I like the new orange dial explorer II and like to inquire the price n where to get it at good price in HK.

Will look forward to your reply soon.

  183. Hi Mieow, That is a Lady Oyster Date just oyster strap right!?
Is it not too common product for going itno the pre-owned watch market, as the trend for people goes for Large Watch size you know that. Neverthe less, that is a classic for some of the people who still like the tradional format and szie.
With certificate and box, I think it worth about HKD$15,000.00 in HK of that is in Excellent condition.
As for the Explorer II Organge, this will be hot and I have yet no news of seening them in HK, though some of the Rolex watch fans said that it has been released in small quantity to some of the dealer of Rolex, but I doubt. Well, wait for a while as the first release price must Be Crazy! I am sire Chow Sang Sang and Chow tai Fook will ahve it by end of the year at normal price. Whether it will go for overpriced, I am not too sure yet.

  184. Hi HK Snob!

Thanks n appreciate your reply. Now I have a better idea. I m foreigner based in HK now. So checking out the watch market here. I am waiting to see the new 42mm black face explorer II in person. Need to see if I can carry off the 42mm watch. Even 40mm for ladies wrist can b relatively big.

    Cheers.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Hi Mieow,
Well, depends.. as I do not know you height and BMI, most likely 42mm for Aisan lady is considered a bit too large, 36-40 mm is much more suitable. My Opinion.
Sometimes, I think people got to have her his style,I don't not see why a 36mm or even 33mm Boy size watch does not look good for a woman. So make your own choice, 42mm can be too big Even for me...
Keep in touch for the news of Explorer II organge...

  186. Hi Francis,

Rolex keeps on updating, imporving their minor design on clasp and strap. The Older model does not have two tone on the clasp., The new one Yes... The centre portion is Gold on the stainless steel base. The whole strap has 18K gold in the centre band, look more harmony and unique.

  190. Hi Mieow,
Yes, your friend is right, the Rolex AD and watch shop holds for their VIP, Celebrities, Movie stars, and their branch managers for entertaining important customers. This is their way to run the business. I know one guy who used to buys few Rolex a year. He helps to book one for me. But I do not put so much hope on that at all, I will rather suggest to wait for a few months more until volume delivery is in HK. Since That is a expected hot item and won't be cheap for the early delivery, Like Milgauss, the first one was sold at HKD$130,000! after two weeks it dropped to half of that, and 1 month become normal list price/. Why should I spend money crazily like that!

Money should be spent wisely unless for those who wants to seek a chance he she is the lead of the latest Rolex issues, and he is rich to buy at that unreasonable price. As for you, I suggest wait with some patience till Nov-Dec. Sorry as I do not know you, you might be one of the people listed above, then That is an exception!
Or Wait that will be in HK with normal price.
