How to authenticate your "Rolex" in Hong Kong free of Charge?

How to verify your Rolex is Fake or genuine?
There take a little knowledge to tell the Class B fakes of Rolex., and there it takes an expert to tell a Class A fakes…
How should we do if we are not expert of Rolex, not even to tell the difference a class C and a Genuine Rolex.
Simply send the watch to Rolex Service Centre at Central.
Just Ask them to authenticate the Rolex for you, they will check and tell you that Rolex is all about.
If the Rolex is fake, once they find it. They will immediate tell you that is NOT ROLEX.
Charges: NO, It is Free in HK.
There is a surcharge as far as I know for SDG$107.00 in Rolex Singapore…!!

  1. Thanks for the advice.
How long does it normally take?
    Is it on the spot?

  2. Depending on queue and time you go there, excluding waiting.
It takes 5-10 minutes... cos they are expertise and they can't lose face... if your is "fake" and they say "Good"!~

In case of ambuguious cases,m they will invite expert in the repair room to come to authenticate...

But bare in mind, sometimes experts also drop his glasses !!

    it happens...

Even the Acution house so called "Expert!!"

  6. Thanks HK snob,

Also will they provide a receipt or some form of written documentation to say they have authenticated this rolex.

I'll be in HK in May for three days, and am looking to buy a 16610 or 116610. I'll discuss further in whatsapp abit closer to the trip if you don't mind.

Thanks again, and greatly appreciate your advice.

  7. Hi
No receipt issued when no money is paid in HK.
If you want a Rolex repair slip, send them for service for old watch.
But no one would send his New Rolex for any service, right?
whatsapp me if you want buying watches.

  8. Hi HK Snob, can i check if RSC will be able to authenticate a vintage Rolex? I've heard of horror stories where RSC changes parts of the watch to make it look new (which kinda defeats the purpose of having a vintage watch).

Or would you recommend sending it to an independent watchmaker instead? If so, do you have any reccomendations?

  9. Hi,
Yes RSC could authenticate vintage for you.
AFAIK, HK RSC would ask your permission first for changing dial for you. but if the part of movement, they will return the original parts being replaced. HK Snob

  11. Hello HK Snob!

First of all, very informative blog! You know your brand very well.

Anyway, I will be going to HK in July for 4 days only. I am planning to buy a 116613 or a 16613. If I bring it to Central, will they check also the parts inside for 5 minutes? Can somebody just change parts inside the watch with non-rolex parts?

Btw, do you have a list of reputable 2nd hand watch retailers?

    Thank you so much!!!

  12. Hi HK Snob,

If I go to RSC in Central to have my watch authenticated, can I ask them to check the inside parts too? For how many minutes?

    Thanks alot!!

  13. Hi Lee,
I have never heard of opening watch for you as that will involve Watch smith's work.

I think they will ask you to put it there for check, Charges may be needed, I am asking Rolex to confirm this.

  20. Thanks for sharing, it's really interesting. I think the service cost for Rolex in India too now is close what you've mentioned Rolex Servicing Singapore
