Wherever you are, this is the ONLY watch adjusted to the time Zone on the Earth Automatically… Seiko GPS Solar Astron

The smooth Bezel is made of dark blue Ceramic material

Watch has taken a series of technological breakthrough, namely…

The introduction of the quartz watch in 1969  In place of a balance wheel which oscillated at 5 beats per second, it used a quartz crystal resonator which vibrated at 8,192 Hz, driven by a battery powered oscillator circuit.

1970 Bulova Accutron Tuning Fork watch.

In 1990, Junghans offered the first radio-controlled wristwatch, the MEGA 1. In this type, the watch's quartz oscillator is set to the correct time daily by coded radio time signals broadcast by government-operated time stations such as WWVH, received by a radio receiver in the watch. This allows the watch to have the same long-term accuracy as the atomic clocks which control the time signals. Recent models are capable of receiving synchronization signals from various time stations worldwide.

Seiko has been leader in Electronic watch using Solar, Kinetic as Hybrid catch, Shows the latest Solar GPS launched Sept 2013.

Unlike radio control watches, which work only in a small part of the world's land mass, Astron recognizes all the currently recognized time zones on earth.

Wherever you are on the earth, on Tai Mo Shan or Victoria Peak, of Mt. Everest,  with only the push of a button operation, Astron pinpoints its location and identifies your exact time by receiving GPS signals from 4 or more GPS satellites.

Astron never stops unless it receives all the power it needs from light absorbed through the dial and it has a power reserve indicator to show the amount of energy stored. It does not need a battery.

Whenever the dial is exposed to bright light, the watch automatically receives GPS signals.

It is light comparing with the size of it, as the sample I had today is made of Titanium, the bezel is a ceramic, very smooth and cold, It should be ceramic… it is very comfortable to wear!

The watch case material is a bit HARDER than the Titanium bracelet as I have seen scratches on the bracelet but not on the watch case… to my wonder, what material of the watch case made!?
Price: this watch is belonged to my colleague who bought it with HKD$22,000
Well, he may not get any discount, so it is the list price…

For that money, you are buying the World leading technology and look at the workmanship, it is Excellent Quality, … Same watch made in Swiss, I believe that could be 4X more expensive. Whether you need this accuracy is purely another matter!
