Evergreen container ship grounded at Suez Canal

This is an accident that wind could cause, likely the wind could blow a world most powerful man three times down on staircases...

Can't underestimate the power of wind...

We can't under estimate the consequence could cause, the shipping fleet will lose USD$7B a days as hundred of vessels can't get passed the Suez Canal, they have to burn more fuel 20-30 tones a day to go through Cape Town with additional two weeks delays on all goods.

This is a kind of mocking at some of the small individuals that are still hoping to get a Daytona steel white at SRP at AD. I think you may wait for years, well some of us get it... guess they have bought so many slow moving watches such as  Date Just or dozen of Tudor before get one of his desired watch at SRP, eventually the money spent is more or less the same of even more. But he can show off saying that he is real SVIP on fb and or IG that he is one of the very few who can get Daytona at SRP... This is great happiness too for them.

Well, I have new interpretation on AD, its "After Death" for Daytona, not "Authorized Dealer". if my son may get one after I am gone... but by that time, the model has been discontinued! Sad!

Back to the huge Sampan that blocks across the canal, it may take 1 month to be clear.... Sad too

Aftermath it was clear for the Suez Canal with Evergreen vessel afloated today.

Rolex AD "Fung Leung Kee" in HK

"Fung Leung Kee Watch Company" was established since 1943, and has been operating for over 74 years. Located in a self-owned property at 157 Johnston Road, Central Wanchai,  It is the agent of various brands Rolex, Tudor, Rado, Longines, Tissot, Gucci, Oris and Seiko.
Here we can see the first picture of their shop who was amidst of the 1967 riots and the latest picture I told in Nov 2016.
They have been standing there to witness the changes of HK over the 3 quarters of the century, one thing remains unchanged, they sell Rolex!

Common question about buying at gray dealer and AD

Frequently asked question about buying AD or gray dealer watch

Q. What is AD?

A. That is Authorized Dealer, that is the official Rolex distributor.  They are Oriental, Dickson, Emperor, Chow Tai Fook, Chow Seng Seng, Leung Tim Kee, Precision Watch etc.

Q. Is gray dealer Rolex always cheaper than AD one?

A. Not necessary, sometimes we can see that AD offer 5% discount for certain hot model such as

GMT Master II Blue Black Ref 116710BLNR, but the gray dealer price is as high as the list price, of course gray dealer price is seasonal.

Q. Why most of the People in HK wants AD Rolex?

A. I think may be there think AD is always have Warranty whereas gray dealer Rolex do not. As a matter of fact, both gray dealer Rolex and AD Rolex is 100% the same, both can have 5 years international Rolex Warranty.  Probably they like AD because the country code of HK AD Rolex watch is “888” I think Rolex understand HK Chinese like this triple Eight as good number. Previous HK Rolex Country Code was “400”.

Q. So What do we buy gray dealer Rolex?

A. 1. Sometimes it is cheaper, or much cheaper especially those Date Just model, and they have stock available for you. But for Submariner, GMT Master and Explorer series, their price similar as AD’s price.

Q.  What is the disadvantage of buying gray dealer Rolex?

A. might be most of them take cash, as their net profit margin is getting lower over these years, and if they take card, there will be reduction of the profit by a few percent, so mostly they take cash.

Q. Will there is more discount if I pay cash in Rolex AD?

A. Normally the discount is fixed 5% for Rolex AD, no matter Cash and Card, same discount.

Rolex AD at Incheon Airport, Korea

These  pictures were taken by HKWF Korea Special Agent "Daniel" who visited Incheon Airport AD three days ago.

Note that the price are in USD and you can get 5% discount using your card.

So as the Submariner TT Ref 116613LB is (US$12,050 x0.95 )x 1.015 for VISA exchange rate.
that is about HKD$90,048 Which is higher than in AD of HK.

Note that if gray dealer price for the same model is HKD$77,000

Whereas the lower model Explorer I is slightly more expensive that HK only.

Hong Kong International Airport Giant Reward Cash Coupon HKD$5,000

I think I have been flying every week, I was not aware that you can earn Cash Coupon HKD$5,000 by spending HKD50,000 in HKIA!
Here is the best Deal as an example.
Go to HKIA Rolex to buy a Watch of valued HKD$50,000 or the Date Just shown here asking Less 10% or more (Don't quote my word as you can supposed to get less 5% only as discount) But you can ask for more… using your credit card.
And get the Cash Coupon and go buy a Montblanc Fountain pen, buy an Iphone at Fortress or gold in Chow Sang Sang goldsmith with the HKD$5,000
You total saving is likely more than HKD$15,500.

Rolex AD Sicily

Sicily Rolex AD has more sport models including Submariner Hulk Ref 116610LV and most of the Submariner model... good place for your Rolex Treasure hunting if you go to Italy...

One thing I don't like: they don't put price tag on each of the watches!

HKWF Special Agent "S" visited there 3 days ago.

Rolex AD in Hanoi, Vietnam

As I may not aware that Hanoi Rolex AD carries some of the most rare Rolex models... as

Submariner Hulk Ref 116610LV
GMT master II in White Gold Ref 116719BLRO
Yacht Master Pink gold ref 116655 for men and Ref 268655 for lady...

Daytona Black and White stainless steel
The Daytona White Ref 116520 is selling around HKD$96,000 after 2% discount and before 8.5% VAT refund at the Airport.
So net cost for you is HKD$87,840, if you use Credit card there may be 2% increase due to exchange rate I guess..

Price is not bad as if we buy in HK parallel price is HKD84,000

More Fun at Tsuen Wan Chun On Street

Tsuen Wan Chun On Street

Tsuen Wan Central market for local people

Tsuen Wan Market right at Chung On Street

 Chung On Street

King Of Melon Seed

Chow Seng Seng, The Rolex AD

Chow Tai Fook, the Rolex AD, there are two Chow Tai Fook within 100M

Tai Hing Rolex AD, right beside the Chow Tai Fook

Cala Café, the small shop that service the best Egg Omelets and Beef Noodles

 Tai Foon Hei Cake

This Gentleman is the one used to sell Chinese Calligraphy paper to HK Snob
He is A Chinese Calligrapher
He Does not Open on Sunday.

Tsuen Wan is the terminus of the MTR Red Lane, I can say this is the central hub between East and West of New territories. An Important transportation terminal.

Even as late as in the 1950s, Chung On Street was still the only significant road in Tsuen Wan, and a small bazaar was formed here.

In the 1930s, the former Heung Yee Kuk chairman, Mr. Chan Wing On, founded “Dai Chung Teahouse” and “Ping On Pharmacy” in the area, and “Chung On Street” was named after these two shops.

Chung On Street in Tsuen Wan, better known as the "jewellery and goldsmith square" started  four years ago,

There are a few Rolex AD Shops there, namely Chow Seng Seng, two Chow Tai Fook and Tai Hing, where are within the same street.

Next Time, if you pass by Tsuen Wan, stop and look for some of the best local stuff there.

There are The Famous Wing Chun School, The Ti Da Clinic, the best Egg Omelets and Beef Noodles of Cala cafe.

The Melon Seed King, and the shop I used to buy Chinese special paper for my Calligraphy practice.

Don't forget Tsuen Wan has a lot of gold smith. As for Rolex AD, it carries sometimes a small surprise for you.

Why as most of the people would like to shop a TST?

Who will come to Tsuen Wan to Buy Rolex…so, it may be a hidden treasure for you.

PS or you may or may not know, the Hong Kong Highest Sauna is in Chung On Street...

This AD has what you want at the window Display

This is a Picture I took on 30 May along Nathan Road at Mong Kong MTR Station.

Well, It carried all the Hot Models we are looking for:-

The GMT Master II Ref 116710BLNR at the Left, the Submariner Hulk Ref 116610LV.

But for most of the time, when you enter and ask, they told you those are reserved by their customers.

Or if you want to buy you have to pay cash for the MRSP or sometimes even you have to pay more than the list price.

Anyway, worth to try if you pass by...no harm!

It is at 646, Nathan Road!

Bucherer In Lucerne

There is Rolex you want there at price almost the same as you get in HK at less 5% of HK Rolex list price.

After tax 8% refund plus some surcharge of foreign exchange using your card, it would be better you could pay in cash or some part in cash to get a better deal.

The price is in Swiss France, which is about 8.03 HK Dollars.

Well, Friend of mine bought the Ref 116000 in Purple which is almost impossible to buy in HK there at Lucerne!

We cannot see DeepSea Ref116660 D-Blue, Daytona Black Ref 116520 and Submariner Hulk Ref 116610LV in display, but I believe they have it in the drawer if you ask them!
