The Most Exotic Rolex Date Just for You and Her.

Rolex has been focusing on many decades on watch accuracy, durability, function, mechanical perfection, I was thinking Rolex has been practicing with quite conservative approach in the basic design, and that Rolex has a clear product strategy: aware that a good watch has to be accurate, no matter quartz and mechanical as they have presented, and durable lasting watch for decades.

After so many years of success, in view of more people looking for non-classic Rolex types of design. There have been more daring design released from Rolex Recently.

This is one of them, released in 2009 Falls, a Rolex with exquisite material …Silicone Rubber for the strap, embedded with nude diamonds on strap. And the whole watch id decorated in diamond on a wavy form of pattern, barely visible the name of Rolex and the Crown.

That is a case of 18kt White Gold. , the bezel is surrounded with black diamond on a square cut form. You have probably advised to wear a sunglass of you see this watch under the sun!

I have no question on this watch which I rate it as the most sexiest Date Just for lady!

Well, price wise is HKD$652,700.00 with less 5% discount at Rolex AD. Pricewise is considered Cheap as Rolex has loaded “Tons” of Sugar Cubes on it…

Check with your local Rolex AD and make this for the next Gift for your beloved one for the Saint Valentines day! At least you will be ensured you have a Sweet 2013 whole year through!

Hi HK Snob
Is it really worth it to buy a 600K + watch? Even if its Rolex watch. In my country, someone can buy upper class 2 bedrooms apartment or a Toyota Alphard MPV with that amount of money. What do you think?

Hi Albert,
It depends on who, and I believe there are a lot of rich people who can buy this piece of watch.
In some China Village, still the people has to walk down the hill for 5 kM to carry up watch to mountain. The use if forer for washing vegatable, then use it for Bath, and washing legs, and then for irrigation. nothing is wasted.
In some part of HK, people goes for a Chiristmas dinner for HKD$3,000 per head. Some people buys a jet plane for his new borne kid. and now the air port parking lot is full, and then they park their jet in Guangzhou or Macao, when they want to travel to Taipei. they have to fly from Guangzhou to HK and take them to Taipei. you can see the gasoline for this extra trip could buy a Rolex already.
In some part of Penang, Money like HKD$500,000 coud possible buy a town house of 100 square metre!
Well, this depends how much you like the Rolex. I definitely have no such money to buy this watch, but some one does. And If you want, I try to get less A very special discount for you.

Hi HK Snob
I agree with you, its depends on who. For high roller, HKD 600K is nothing. I make a maximum limit price for every luxury item that I buy. For handbag, HKD30K is the max, so I never think to buy a Hermes Birkin or Kelly bag. As for watches, HKD600K sure out of question.

Hi Albert,

Well well well, HKD$30K is already the City celibrities' status... My bag is just a piece if rag so sewed up to look like a bag...It is shabbby and broken, I always want to go for a Louis Vuitton or Ferrmagamo, or may be until one day i sell my Kidney for money!
OK... Well, I adore more for a Platinum Day Date than this of course as Day Date has an unique Status... But honesty If I had a fortune one day, I will buy this Watch for my Girl friend!

Hi again HK Snob
Actually, The 30K handbag is my wife Vuitton, for me just Coach bag. Now I think its better to buy watches than bags, because I already buy a lot bags for my wife, but the fashion houses keep on issuing new model, so buying bags like never ending story. I think watches, like Rolex will last longer.
Have a nice week end

Hi Again Albert, Vuitton had sucessfully taken away a lot of money, one day, I did not have nothing to do, and I found that there are about 13 Vuitton in my piegon house. And Recently one of my ladies bought another coach with zip of HKD$6,000. You are right, the Bag can not last long unlesss those are limited and sky hi expensive or it can not turnout more money for you.
Whereas a Rolex is another story.
As I said, Always buy the mots unusally one, Limited one and those WHo no one wanst Nowadays. And after 10-30 years people start to get crazy about it. Imagine who could buy a Ref 1803 Stella Red dial Rolex 40 years agoi, now that is a pice of watch min. HKD$180,000
That is not a bad deal, if you coud buy one that time, I believe if you buy that watch in 1980, the Rolex manager could buy you a BBQ Pork rice to entertain you! and Would like to send you back by a taxi. Now he might be regreted why sold that watch to you!
I am sitting in Manial AP waiting for plane. Wish you had a wonderful Week end!
Keep in touch!

Hi HK Snob
Don't worry about the typo. The flood already dried up most part of the city, but some area near the harbor still flooded about 30cm high water. When buy luxury item, fashion item, especially bags, I usually avoid the limited on the season model, because after the season end, the bag will be out dated, and if I still wear it, other will think I bought it on the sale rack. I don't know about the watches. Like your other post about buying watch as investment, I agree with you that the real value of the luxury item is the pleasure of wearing it. I'm planing on traveling to HK and Beijing this Aug, what is the weather in HK ? Is still rainy and stormy in Aug? And do you have information about Beijing weather in Aug?
Sincerely,
Albert, Indonesia

Hi Albert,

I have been to Indonesia Jarkata and Surabaya in 1982, and that was long time ago. I like the food and people are very friendy. Since then I have no chance to go!

You are right in shopping bag, I have the same attitude, I still have a Louis Vuitton Brief case, a UK thick leather Bag, an orange Mandarina Duck, and Elle, Brown Ferragamo and Georory. for Style, I like Gregory, For Colour I like Mandarina Duck, For Function Still Gregory. For Campactness and Elegancy Louis Vuitton. For Classic and Workmanship, the Ferragamo. Workmanship is the Ferragamo. For Speciality I like The UK one. So that is enough for me to stay until I retired. I will not buy anymore. But If that Gregory design can be found again I like to buy one as my one has been worn out!

For Rolex, definitely that is the best in keeping you happy as it carry value and style, and it may gain ROI if that is a special Dial or colour/model. But we have to keep using it... That create your style! Most of the time I wear Day Date White gold plain white dial with dial and diamond bezel.

It would be very hot in August. The highest temperatures may reach 38 °C (100 °F) in Aug 2011, and 31 in 2012.

Usually August has almost as much rain as July, Beijing's wettest month, but still only a moderate amount at 160mm (6 inches). There are occasional thunderstorms, so bring an umbrella.

Clothing: Summer clothing is generally enough even in the evenings.

Be aware: August is in the peak travel season, and tourist attractions are very packed. Hotel rates and flights are considerably higher than usual.

Booking in advance is recommended
