Hi Bok Sim,
IWC is used to be a good watch and I loved it since 1986 when I got my first IWC, a gold manual winding watch, I used it for month and it was a hard working watching that seldom move fast or slow... I made a mistake and sold it to one of my school fellow at HKD$2,000.00. and I had never seen it again.

This bold big Portugieser Chrono is one of the latest watch design, and I am sure this type of watch will be one of the best watches for us.

Yet my taste has changed to go for Gold version as I think It is a bit hard for me to buy a Stainless steel watch wiht more than HKD$40,000.00

That HKD$2K IWC watch is really good deal to your friend.

For me, I still love the SS or Titanium. Gold and Diamond plated, is still far out of my taste yet.

Hi Bok Sim, but in about 1986, HKD$2,000 is quite a lot of money...
It is equivalet to nowadays HKD$10,000.00!

Hello,
I have second thoughts about buying an expensive watch due to financial and psychological concerns. But i can assure you i will not use an unearned income to buy this. Would you be kind to walk me thru? Where can i buy an IWC that will give me big discount in Hong Kong? I intend to go to Hong Kong this month to buy my first expensive watch: ReferenceIW371482

This is a very popular model in Hong Kong. there is not too much discpunt differnec between shop, I guess that discount can be about 15-18% for this model.
If you do not mind, you can get a used one about HKD$43,000.00 approximately.
Or when I see a good price, I will inform you... send me your mail and I will keep an eye for you!
